Family Medicine

Family medicine (sometimes called family or general practice) provides health care for people of all ages, as well as all genders, diseases, and body parts. Providers are often primary care physicians also. They come to know the patient in the context of family and community. What’s more, they emphasize disease prevention and promote health. Family physicians can also help with a large range of acute, chronic and preventive medical needs.

For example, they may:

  • Provide preventive care
  • Give routine checkups
  • Assess health-risks
  • Immunize
  • Advise on how to maintaining a healthy lifestyle
  • Coordinate care with other specialists

You can also take it to the clinic where your appointment is scheduled. Please note that all paperwork is due one week prior to your scheduled appointment. This helps us to become familiar with your healthcare needs by the time you arrive for your appointment.
