Cardiologists Close to the Heart in Cortez, CO

Southwest Health System offers world-class cardiology care conveniently close to home for the people of southwest Colorado and the Four Corners region. Home is where the heart is, and our hearts are here for yours.

Local Cardiology Care

Our cardiologists are conveniently located in Cortez to give you the care you need and the compassion you deserve. Instead of driving hours (or longer) for heart treatment, you can get quality care and attention minutes away from home. Rather than visit the ER and then make a trip to our facility, patients can receive emergency cardiac treatment at our facility from the outset. We are here to take care of your heart for everything you need. Our cardiologists start with diagnostic imaging and work hard for you all the way to post-surgery recovery and cardiac rehabilitation.

We have partnerships with local cardiologists that visit Cortez to make your recovery easier. Talk to your provider about local cardiology options available for you. Let us show you why the best care for your heart is close by.

Treatment and Services

Our focus extends well beyond cardiology. We provide a range of services from nutrition education all the way to intensive/critical care. We are constantly committed to the goal established at our founding over a century ago in 1914. That goal is to be the best healthcare and medical services facility in Montezuma County. Today, we provide a local 25-bed hospital, surgical and inpatient facilities, emergency services, and so much more. Our family birthing center has two obstetricians on hand at all times to help deliver prenatal and neonatal care.

Our commitment to the community doesn’t just deliver for you in times of crisis. In addition to the hands-on medical care, we are able to give our neighbors the information needed to take steps towards prevention and wellness. Our educational programs, social programs, and therapy programs have been designed with your needs in mind.

We’re ready to take care of all your medical needs, close to home and with a world of expertise.
