Southwest Health System will be hosting a webinar series with CU School of Medicine over the next couple of months. This is open to all. The event will be held in the Hospital Conference Room.

BLS – Basic Life Support: HeartCode @ Southwest Health System Annex Building

Classes are typically held in the Education Room near the front lobby of the Annex Building at 20 S. Market Street. Exceptions to that will be posted.

About HeartCode:
HeartCode® BLS is an official, self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program from the American Heart Association (AHA). This program uses eSimulation technology to present realistic patient scenarios. Students are presented with 5 BLS cases and an online multiple-choice written exam. While interacting with the program, students assess each patient, formulate a treatment plan based on AHA BLS guidelines, and provide treatment. Successful completion of Part 1, the cognitive component, and Parts 2 and 3, skills practice and testing with an AHA BLS Instructor, are the requirements for obtaining an AHA BLS Healthcare Provider card.

Non-employee fees are: $25/Full Course OR $15/HeartCode Skills Testing

Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.

About HeartCode:
HeartCode® ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. Students are presented with a team dynamics lesson, 10 ACLS hospital-based case scenarios, and a written exam. Psychomotor skills are reviewed and tested in-person during a skills session. This three-part delivery effectively blends cognitive learning with skills training.

A dietitian from Southwest Health System will conduct a free supermarket tour on the second Thursday of each month from 12-1pm starting October 12th . Space is limited. Please call 970-564-2275 for the store location and to register.
