Incident Command System (ICS-100) & National Incident Management System (IS-700) Training @ Southwest Memorial Hospital Training Room
Jan 24 @ 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Course Description:
ICS-100: Introduces the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS). While this course is available online, a face-to-face teaching approach allows for a more personalized learning experience that can be tailored for a particular county or region.

IS-700: This course introduces and overviews the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a consistent nationwide template to enable all government, private-sector, and nongovernmental organizations to work together during domestic incidents. While this course is available online, a face-to-face teaching approach allows for a more personalized learning experience that can be tailored for a particular county or region.

In order to receive a certificate for either class, students must take the ICS-100.b and IS-700.a test ONLINE. Instruction for accessing those tests will be provided to students.

Target Audience: Any persons involved with emergency planning, training, response and recovery.
